We clean surfaces using the gas-thermal method.
Gas-thermal cleaning is in other words “hot sandblasting”, and you can already understand the meaning of the method by its name.
High efficiency of work on cleaning of contaminated surfaces is achieved due to the combined effect on the treated surface of high-temperature gas (combustion products of fuel kerosene + air) and high speeds of abrasive material (acceleration of particles is carried out by supersonic gas flow).
Gas-thermal cleaning is a full-fledged replacement of sandblasting cleaning and differs from it by the speed of abrasive particles impacting the treated surface and the speed of cleaning itself.
The abrasive material is in a special flow container at atmospheric pressure and is fed to the inlet of a gas-dynamic particle gas pedal, docked with the burner of the plant, by means of ejection created by the flow of combustion products at the outlet of the burner nozzle.
Units similar in the way of surface treatment are known, in which the abrasive material is fed into the combustion chamber of the burner. This method of abrasive feeding has a number of disadvantages:
- the tank with abrasive must be inflated with air from a compressor, and since the air is humid, condensation settles on the walls of the tank and there are problems with the supply of abrasive;
- the inner walls of the burner and the outlet nozzle are subjected to erosion;
- due to the long residence time of the abrasive particles inside the burner, a large amount of heat is extracted from the fuel combustion products and the abrasive particles are warmed up, which reduces their abrasive properties.
ANTICOR equipment is devoid of these disadvantages, because:
- the abrasive material is in a container under atmospheric pressure, fed into the gas pedal by ejection;
- only the gas pedal is subjected to erosive wear, which is made of a simple metal pipe that can be easily and simply changed (consumable);
- in the gas pedal, the abrasive material enters the supersonic flow, accelerates very quickly and does not have time to warm up.
After thermal abrasive cleaning we get an active clean surface ready for coating.
Cleaning performance directly depends on the degree of surface contamination and the power of the gas generator used.
For example, when using a gas generator with an air flow rate of 4 cubic meters / min productivity is:
- up to 30 sq.m/hour when cleaning a painted surface;
- up to 20 sq.m/hour in the presence of light corrosion up to 0.2 mm;
- up to 10 sq.m/hour in the presence of heavy layer-by-layer corrosion up to 2 mm.
The cost of sandblast cleaning of surfaces - from 300 rubles per sq./m.
The final cost depends on the surface configuration and volume.
